Meet Our Educators & Staff

I am from Altoona, Pennsylvania and I have certifications in Elementary Education K-6, Special Education PK-12, & I'm also Wilson Reading certified. I love teaching! I love the creativity that comes along with it. I make a lot of my own resources that I use with my students daily. Tutoring is one of my favorite activities to do after school because the students enjoy learning and I get to meet kiddos from all over the states! I love helping students achieve their goals and watch them succeed! Aside from teaching and tutoring, I enjoy spending time with my four kids. The girls and I love to shop!

I’m super excited to join the Beyond the Chalkboard Tutoring community! I am most proud to work for this family-owned company that genuinely cares for students and families. I hold a Masters of Education and have taught for 26 years from Kindergarten through Adult Education in public schools, private schools, alternative learning environments, and online. Most recently, I’ve supervised, trained, and coached educators. I love to camp with my husband and our son, garden, read, play with my dog, and relax on our screened-in porch. 

"I am a charismatic and creative tutor who has a bachelor of education with a concentration in elementary education from the University of Hawai’i, West O’ahu. I have worked as a para-professional tutor, educational assistant and substitute teacher for the Hawai’i DOE. I am able to teach a wide range of subjects and has experience with special education students who have dyslexia, ADHD and autism. My speciality is Math with a concentration in pre-algebra and alg 1 and 2. However, I am qualified to tutor all subjects pre-k-12th.  I look forward to tutoring with your child and getting to know all of you!"

I am currently pursuing my post master's certification in special education leadership and am starting that program in the beginning of April. Every summer I enjoy working with my past students during Extended School Year and taking trips with my family. We enjoy going to parks, zoos, and to the beach each year. "I graduated from Mansfield University, Lycoming College and Bloomsburg University with  Bachelor degrees and certifications that allow me to teach Mentally and Physically handicapped students from grades K to 12 as well as regular Education students from grade k to 8. I received a Masters Degree in Education  which provided me the ability to focus on specialized reading instruction. I taught kindergarten for 19 years and  Special education for 13 years. After 32 years in the classroom, I realized my passion for working with students is something that I love to do! My hobbies include organizing, journaling and being outside enjoying walks with my dogs. I look forward to the time I share with the students I have met from all over the United States in the Beyond the Chalkboard Tutoring platform."

I have a bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education and a masters in Teaching and Learning with an Instructional Technology certification. I have taught a variety of grades but fourth grade is my favorite! I try to spend most of my time outside with my family. We enjoy hiking, camping, and anything that keeps us outside and busy! I am excited to help my students succeed through Beyond the Chalkboard!

I reside in Simpsonville, SC, and have been a dedicated educator for 18 years, teaching grades PreK-5. My current position involves teaching 3rd-5th graders. I am thrilled to expand my reach by tutoring students from all over through BTC. In my spare time, I enjoy traveling, reading, cheering for the Clemson Tigers, attending theater performances, and spending time with loved ones. I look forward to assisting you in achieving your academic goals.

I am from York, Pennsylvania and I have a Bachelor’s degree from Shippensburg University in Secondary Mathematics Education and a Master’s degree from Penn State in Teaching and Curriculum. I am currently in my 28th year teaching secondary mathematics.  I have experience teaching at both the middle and high school levels, but currently teach in a high school.  I have taught Pre-Algebra, Algebra I, Algebra II, Geometry, Calculus, AP Calculus AB and AP Calculus BC. Outside of school, I like to spend time with my family and friends and I try to attend as many extracurricular activities at my school as possible. I love seeing how my students excel outside the classroom. I look forward to helping your child succeed in their educational journey through Beyond the Chalkboard Tutoring.  

I’m a single mama of 2 beautiful daughters, Reagan and Blake. I have a K-6 teaching degree from Penn State. I, however, am a full time pediatric Physical Therapist Assistant working in the schools as well as the clinic. In my spare time, I enjoy watching and playing basketball and also can’t get enough of the beach!

Hello from Erie, Pennsylvania! I am an Elementary Autistic Support Teacher with my undergrad in Early Childhood and Special Education. I also have my Masters in Reading. Creating meaningful relationships is my top priority when it comes to teaching. I firmly believe that a child must feel loved and valued before they are ready to learn. When I am not teaching, I love spending time wife my family. I am married to my husband Graham and together we have two sons, Dawson and Griffin. We also have two dogs and three cats. I look forward to my time with my students here at Beyond the Chalkboard Tutoring. 

I'm a dedicated educator with a bachelor's in science and a masters in curriculum and instruction. I am certified k-12, and I love sharing my knowledge and enthusiasm for learning.  I'm committed to helping students reach their fullest potential.  When I'm not tutoring, you can find me traveling the world, loosing myself in a good book, or carving up the slopes on my skis.
